This morning the sun is finally stretching its arms after all of yesterdays rain. It is still a little chilly, so I decide to make a barley porridge to warm up with the sun.
Barley is a fun grain, easily digestible, helps regulate blood sugars, and may good for the lymph system! It is full of vitamins and minerals as you can see on its wiki page - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barley

Barley Porridge
ingredients:
- Quick Cook Barley
- Organic Soy milk
- Organic Raisins
- Crushed Black Walnuts
- 1/4 of a large Jonagold Apple
(from an orchard that attempts to use zero pesticides)
- No Added Sugar Applesauce (from same orchard)
- Raw Sugar
- Ground Cinnamon
how did this happen?
- Coat the bottom of your bowl with Barley about the thickness of your pinky.
- Add Raisins, I like a lot!
- Add a bunch of Crushed Walnuts.
(These Walnuts have a sort of sweet aroma to them. Full of protein, but so is the Barley!)
- Put in probably about a tablespoon of Raw Sugar.
- Pour in enough soy milk to about double the dry ingredients.
- Throw it in the microwave on high for about a minute-thirty, pull it out half way through, stir it, shove it back in for the rest, take it out and stir.
- Here I cut and peel the Jonagold, slice it into little nut sized chunks, and drop it in.
- Finally a large dollop of Applesauce on top.
- Garnish with several a dash of Cinnamon.

Hey Woodie.
